Indian Portage

 Custom details are used throughout the house, including wood burned plaques at the exterior, and custom hand carved balustrades at the staircase. This was a seven year project from design inception through a three year construction phase. The client wanted the home to reflect the history of the property, which was a traditional portage route for the local indigenous inhabitants between several lakes in the New Hampshire lakes region. This Indian theme is carried throughout the home and exterior landscape sculptures.
