Indian Portage

The client wanted the home to reflect the history of the property, which was a traditional portage route for the local indigenous inhabitants between several lakes in the New Hampshire lakes region. This Indian theme is carried throughout the home and exterior landscape sculptures.

Custom details are used throughout the house, including wood burned plaques at the exterior, and custom hand carved balustrades at the staircase. This was a seven year project from design inception through a three year construction phase.
