Ms. Carley is actively involved in historic preservation and has written several books in the field of architecture. One of the residences designed by CPWA is featured repeatedly throughout this book. Due to an automobile accident, the author's subsequent injuries and print deadlines the first printing of the book does not include credit to CPWA. Future editions will include the approprirate credit.
Rustic Revisited by Ann S. O'Leary
The first book to take a comprehensive look at rustic design today celebrates, in words and images, a style that is being referenced in homes from Maine to California. Ms. O'Leary is an interior designer who has designed accessories for companies including Nieman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.

The Winter 2008 issue includes an article written by Deborah Graham (with photography by John Hession) on "green building styles" using timberframe in the Lakes Region. The recently completed Tin Mountain Conservation Center was the focus of the article. The Center includes radiant floor heating, a solar thermal array system that provides 75% of the building's heating needs, and a propriatary photovoltaic solar system that provides 54% of the building's annual electrical needs, More than 20 locally harvested woods were used on interior finishes.
