Additions and Renovations

Many of our projects include additions or renovations to an existing home. The addition may include adding a master bedroom suite, or enhancing and updating an entire home. Many of our addition/renovation projects include historic buildings that reqauire a keen eye toward preservation. Whatever you may be thinking of doing to your home, we can help! Highlighted below are a few addition/renovation projects.

This home, located in a lovely cove on Lake Winnipesaukee, underwent significant renovations to update and upgrade the existing property.

Waterfront Renovations

Camp Addition and Update

A lakefront camp built on piers was expanded and updated while staying within an extremely tight footprint.

Squam Lake Camp

This project included renovations and a three bedroom addition to a circa 1920 camp on Squam Lake. The dining
room acts as the link beteween the new addition (left) and the original, uninsulated camp (right).

Historic Hillside Cottage

The simple design of this original 1910 cottage (center) did not take advantage of the amazing views. Renovations expanded the house from 1,240 square feet to 3,450 square feet on a hillside property of 178 acres.

Redesign of 1970's Lakeside Home

The original 2-1/2 story woodframe house (left)  was updated to provide cohesive space and connectivity to the lake.

Modest Camp to Stunning Home

In 1984, the client requested renovations and additions to their lakeside camp (original on left, 1984 renovations center). In 2002, the client requested an expansion from the existing 3,755 square feet to 5,250 square feet with a two car garage and expanded space for family gatherings, that would maximize lake views.

Transformation of a Church to a Home and Design Studio

Once a summer church without heat or insulation, the building was transformed into a gracious home and studio for the client, an interior designer. The kitchen was designed within the walls of the sacristy, utilizing original wood.
